Hey all, I'm not yet dead as I've said but lifes been a bit of a bundled of bad laughs at the moment and it's been tricky trying to sort it all out. Just popped a quick post here before I update properly in a day or two or three knowing me.

Well...the last week or so has been as complicated as a rollercoaster designed on paint. I'm serious about that as well as you're about to read.

Anyway I went to London last weekend and it was an interesting old affair to say the least, I managed to successfully navigate getting from Victoria Coach Station to New Eltham where I was meeting my cousin but he got stuck in work so he had his mate Fred pick me up who turned out to be a rather interesting character indeed but lovable with it. James (cousin) turned up a couple of hours later with Merlin (his dog) who is the cutest if rather stupid and annoying pup I have ever met in the entire world - excluding my sweepies of course but bless her she's getting a real old thing now, fourteen if you believe it or not - though the little git had a habit of trying to eat everything I owned which at one point included my bra after he had fished it out of my bag. So on friday I leave at a sensibleish time to get into London, and I've sorted out all the times and stuff so I know roughly how long everything will take. Get on the overground train which runs three mins late but I'm not going to complain to much cause that'll get me in by quater past ten I think with my usual optomisim. For reasons unknown we kept getting stuck behind frigging red signals which consequently meant I didn't get into Charing Cross till twenty-five past ten and then it took me till just about quater to in order to get to Bond Street where I had to get off. So I'm mildly panicking at this point and desperately trying to find my way to the American Embassy but am lost so I grab the first taxi I can and end up turning up there roughly five minunets late, completely convinced that I've missed everything and I'mnot going to get my visa and all that lot and the guys are like, it's okay, just calm down, lets check through your things, all in order and off you go into the building. I was literally in about fifteen minuets as I went from one window, talked to a guy there, to another window and talked to another guy there, gave the right things in, got my watch and phone back (cause they're not allowed inside which is understandable for security reasons but when they send you five plus e-mails in reguards to this you do start getting a little peeved off with it) and then I'm free.

So I go around Oxford Street, mooching around and buying a lovely dress for £20 which should have been £50 and has a Paris label on it so I was really happy with that and then kinda got lost trying to find Forbidden Planet - a very sad thing which I like to do whilst I'm there - end up helping the NSPCC out whilst on the phone trying to get directions to FP, call her back and work out where I have to go but then get lost around Saftsbury Avenue but eventually get my bearings and get to the bloody place. Had a good old mooch around and ended up buying a new Death Note book, Shojo Beat and Gothic Lolita Bible vol 26 which had ten pounds knocked off the price which made me really happy. Plus the guy behind the counter was quite fun as well. I was hungry at this point so I went off to try and find the place next to the Wheel but ended up going to London Bridge first when I should have gone to Westminster, but corrected myself and got to where I wanted to be. Had a crappy D's but surprisingly it wasn't that bad for once and I played a bit in the Arcade cause the Movium and Aquarium were closing their doors at three and four respectively. There was a Horror thing which looked pretty good but I refuse to pay £10 as an adult for such things and considering I was alone I was not really planning on looking like an idiot by myself. So I decide to go to the theatre as James is stuck in work for the night and I head to one of the discount ticket places at Camden only to be told that for single tickets I've got to go to the theatres themselves. Somehow I find myself at Lecister Square and find the theatre that's showing Avenue Q so decide to go and see that. Pay £20 for a balcony seat which is the cheapest in the house but I don't really mind and then go to find out how to get back once I'm finished - didn't realise initually where I was - and then go have something to eat before sitting at a cafe for a good while because the show didn't start till 8:30.

The show was fantastic fun, even funnier seeing it on stage than listening to the recording and still a shame that I can't really sing out loud to it when I'm out walking the dog because all the PC brigadge would take offence without realising what it was that I was singing. So I head back after that and James meets me at the Station cause it's really late and he wants to ensure I don't get lost bless him. Saturday is spent in Greenwick Park with Merlin being an devious little twit and running all over the place and boxing with other dogs, which is exactly what a five month old boarder collie puppy is supposed to do. We then spent the night playing a mix of warcraft and me on the xbox, after it transpired that Merlin had chewed through the cable for it and James couldn't find the controller for the PS2. Came home on the sunday and it was a pleasent enough journey so I can't complain about the time it took.

The only thing I will say is that if you're stuck in London by yourself, Londoners are snobby bastards who think they own the world. Now this will sound a little on the daft side but it's true, for once I was dressed pretty smartly in a pair of nice trousers, my grey knitted dress thing and I had a light Scary Miss Mary jacket on, my hippy bag and my hair up and they were all looking down on me as if I were some thing that shouldn't be there. I couldn't get anyone to chat to me, which was a pain, and when I was at the theatre I tried talking to a couple of lads next to me but they weren't interested which is fair enough but then one kept on whining on about the seat and they left at the interval which shows just what they were and a guy behind me complained because I was leaning over the guard rail - cause I was in the front row and it was obscuring my view - which kinda put me off slightly but I suppose he had a right to ask if I could move back but really he could have just been polite about it. Plus when were were going to Greenwich, Merlin was sitting on James on the back seat, with his back paws on the ajoining seat. Merlin is one of the cleanest dogs I've ever had the pleasure to know and some bitch ends up whining on to James for this - though why is a mystery to me - and of course he had to take his eyes off his dog for a couple of seconds and Merlin got his paw stuck in the gap between the seats, was howling away like no ones business and the bitch was still complaining. Even James said 'Bloody Londoners'. I wouldn't care bar the fact they have nothing to be overly snotty about, yeah London's the capital of the UK but it's not exactly the most prettiest of places and in comparison to Paris it's paled completely. Now Parisiens do have something to be snotty about, Londoners don'
t.

Anyway, enough of a rant on that.

The rest of the week was sorting out odds and sods, being completely bored cause I had nothing much to do and felt all worked up which was a pain in the neck. On Thursday I was up at seven-thirty cause I got a text from the Embacy to tell me that my passport would be returned to me on that day between 8am and 6pm. So I spent the whole day waiting for the damn thing to turn up, watching the last part of death note which transpired to be fairly dull in my opinion or at least by that point in time my brain couldn't function enough to work it out cause it was just that confusing and writing some stuff up for FITS. Eventually it turned up at 5:45 so I could have just slept in and done some other stuff really but it wasn't to be.

Friday I was up early again to get the house done so that I could get changed into something smart and go for a job interview at Sitel who were a call company based up by the Finders Factory. It sounded a pretty good deal and from what I understood it was going to be a customer service job, just covering for BT. So I'm there, on time and ready and liking the look of everything and then I find out that if I was successful then it would be a five week training course which would have been really crappy as it meant that since the intake was for April twenty-somethinks I wouldn't be able to kinda go 'oh sorry, I'm off to America now' at the end of it. Then I found out that we were going to get three tests done before we proceed to the next stage of the interview. Two technical ones and a spelling test. Straight away the words in my mind were 'bollucks and fuck this' but I gave the tests a go knowing damn well that it would be a fluke if I passed them. Consequently I didn't pass them and got sent home. So I was tired, slightly annoyed that my time had been wasted and just generally a bit pissed off in general that I ended up that night - whilst my parents were out with Alan and Margret - making myself two chicken pies, two pancake things and a load of chips, drinking cider and watching the first series of Red Dwarf.

Saturday was watching the WSB - World Super Bikes - before going back to bed and sleeping off the remainder of the alochol in my system before sitting watching telly and playing online a fair bit cuase I had spent two days offline which had a couple of people worried ever so slightly bless them. Sunday I was up, walked the dog and had a full bacon and eggs done in the oven breakfast before heading off to the roleplay group in Blyth with Avenue Q on my headphones to keep my grinning. I chatted onto the lads there for a good three hours before the session actually started and it was highly amusing and funny, though bloody psykers should never be left alone cause they have a tendacy to unleash an unbound deamon from the warp who proceeds to go around smashing things into a pulp. Thankfully I got my character through it all without any damange which was great fun. Came home and had tea whilst watching Come Dine with Me, then washed the dishes and went online. Somehow I managed to get no less that ten (approx) rps offered to me through my search thread and some fun on the guild I'm with. How I still don't quite know but hey I'm not going to complain it was pretty cool. Though I ended up making sandwiches at one point which was highly funny.

Today I've applied to more jobs and generally mucked around, tomorrow is a project writing day so I'm happy about that. Also got Mam the last part of her Mothers Day stuff - just hope it arrives before Mothers Day.

Hopefully this week shall be less of a nusaince but we'll see what happens.

Heh life didn't go according to the plan the last couple of days but that's mainly been due to other things creeping up and messing around with the schedual *goes to let dog out* but I did get some stuff done which is good in the long run.

Just a quick update cause I'm off for the weekend but I'll sum it up better when I get back.

Oh one quick thing, Slumdog is utterly fantastic and you need to go and see it if you get the chance.

Well I'm glad to report that the new routine which I set up on saturday night, with proper timetable and everything - thanks to a free download of a Blank Hello Kitty Calendar - is working out pretty well, excluding the fact that I didn't go to anime on monday night but that's by the by. I will get back there sometime soon but I was busy working on projects and lost track of the time...plus Dad asked me to do stuff before hand so it screwed up the time I had allocated anyway.

But yes, I've been up before twelve on the last three days with relatively little hassle, have sorted out To Do lists for six of my projects with the aim to get them done within the next couple of months and be able to track them effciently and I completed the image hunt for them as well which is a good start to the week. Signed on again today with no hassle and I'm doing the right thing with the job searching so tis all fine and wonderful for me. I'm feeling a whole lot better to and even got one fanfiction completed and the next few chapters of another one planned out so definately good.

Okay I thought the last two weeks were strange but this week has topped it off completely and I have set to actually post properly for it which is strange but ya know how it goes.

Anyway I did plan on doing a lot of wiriting this week and getting myself back on track but that went completely down the pan as everytime I wanted to just sit down and write it ended up with something coming up which stopped me from doing so. One of the worst things was the fact that on Monday I went up to the job centre to sign on due to me missing one week and spent fourty minuets there whilst they fannied on only for the thing to actually last about three minuets all in all which was slightly annoying but that's how it goes sometimes, then I got some stuff I needed and went home, got changed and then went to my next door neighbours funeral which was an interesting affair as it was a humaritarian one which are quite pleasent, then went home and my parents went out for the night which was fun as I got the house to myself. Tuesday was spent trying to sort out various things invovling my camcorda and not having much luck with it after a journey to curry's and back, wednesday I actually got some time off but then couldn't write for the life of me and was in a bit of a general downer for no apparent reason - I was grouchy and slightly pmsing but it was just really horrible for all concerned, Thursday we had another go at recording from the camcorda and after talking to a guy in Curries who knew what the hell we were talking about and pointed us in the right direction and we successfully get a copy of Tammo (or the play wot I writ) onto the HDD drive and then onto DVD which plays successfully,  then I got some fanfiction writing done which got my in a good mood, followed by some work on my projects which made me even happier. Then later that night our main computer completely packed up on us, so we're waiting to get hold of a windows XP disc to try and sort it out and currently my old laptop is being used downstairs as the general household computer which is fine even if I did have a slight argument with the internet when I tried to upload it but that was due to the e-mail and password being wrong but sorted that out. Friday I was up to clean the house out and then spent a couple of hours playing Spore at long last, followed with a couple on FFIX which made me even happier and there was shopping on thursday which I forgot to mention and the fact that Kallers came over on last weekend as part of the 'Lonely Hearts Club' thing cause it was Valentines Day and we didn't have Valentines...but I got mine on Tuesday as Nathan finally asked me out bless his little cottons - and on friday night I went randomly hyper which was amusing but rather strange to say the least.

Then today I accidentally slept in till three o'clock which wasn't the best of things but I got to watch some good stuff on the telly, followed by Resi Evil and Ring O which completely freaked me out in a really bad way which was not a good thing in the slightest. Then came online and chatted to various peeps before sitting down and making a timetable for myself to sort out this habit of sleeping in and now going to much around with things until bedtime.

Exhausted isn't going to describe me anymore.

I've just spent two hours doing the Camp America ones for my Visa application on March 7th in London and oh my god it took ages, at least there was a little powerpoint thing which helped me through it all else it would have probably taken me even longer to fill in but meh it's done now and come monday I'll be booking getting down there and back and staying somewhere. It's part of my To Do list...amazingly I come back from Swansea and I've already got a To Do list which is slightly annoying but ya know.

Anyway life's been pretty strange of late, two weeks ago was just the general job hunting/telling the job centre I wasn't going to be at the next meeting so I had to film out this stupid form and have to go in on Monday to say yes I'm still job hunting, no the morrisons job didn't come through (way out qualified methinks) and yes I've been hunting though not really and just adding a few bits to the book to make it look like I have (not saying that though cause that would be stupid). nothing much out of the ordinary and just plodding along with story ideas and other bits and pieces (need to update writers room at some point). Though I did go out with Kallers to the cinema on Wednesday which was mucho fun as we caught up, chatted about girly things and saw Twilight (which sucked royally) .

I went to Jess's wedding reception on the 7th which was really good and so much fun, she looked stunning in her dress and I'm so happy for the pair of them. Wonder whose going to be married next? Teehee not me that's a certain at the moment but who knows what Cupid's got planned for me...should've tried to contact Kal so we could have a single Valentines day or summat, might just text her reguardless and see if we can do stuffs or summat.

As you can guess I was down in Swansea for the wedding and was originally meant to go to london on the sunday for mam's birthday but dad slipped in the snow and  hurt himself - nothing bad though, he's fine and his usual self - so they cancelled that cause it was not possible and I got to stay in Swansea for a few extra days which was good fun if the usual amount of totally hetic. Did get to see Bolt though which was really good and had a really nice time out and about. Came home on wednesday which was another really long bus journey but I was listening to Avenue Q so it wasn't that bad really.

Gave mum her birthday presents on thursday and she's additcted to her DS which is really good fun to watch, I might try and nice a sneaky play or two but probably not. Then we had lots of snow - a supposed light shower that ended up being about an inch deep -  so we really couldn't go out but it got me writing a random fluffy fanfic and had me grinning from ear to ear.

today we went out to do some stuff in gosforth then had lunch at the Badger and then came home where me and dad both fell asleep - I had the excuse that I had not caught up from Wednesday cause I had to be up on thursday morning. Then watched telly, had tea and filled out the blooming Visa forms. going to much about online for a fair old bit and see what tomorrow brings.

Heh this week has definately turned itself around and cheered me up no end but for no particular reason. Maybe it's just cause I can do stuff without worrying that much and everythings slotted into place nicely. Bah I think it's just cause I've got some good news which I really needed and hopefully lifes on the way up again.

I've been a busy bee writing this week, got three fanfictions sorted out - one new one and two updates for older ones - which made me happy on monday and then yesterday I spent pratically all my time working on a new project which pratically demanded that I work on it as it was very much alive and well. So waiting on getting some feedback for it and then I'll be sorting it all out and hopefully sending it off to the right people, the treatment that is, I'll work on the script whilst it's away so it should be real fun.

I also went swimming on Tuesday so I'll be keeping that up as a regular thing, granted it's only once a week but I used to do the same thing in Swansea so it's a bit more exercise for me. I also had a good roleplaying session on sunday, even though my character got blinded and I really need to sort out some spells that are actually offensive and not soley healer based though Brute is an interesting character to play alongside. Especailly when the bugger frenzies and attacks the party because he got hit by a fireball. Visited Gran as well on Monday which was an interesting situation and she's got to have a pacemaker fitted which is going to cause all sorts of hell but we'll see how that goes.

I've got a job interview for Morrisons at Blyth tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. It should be all right but fingers crossed and all that and I'm going to a wedding reception on Feb 7th cause my mate Jess from Swansea's getting married. So today I went into town with Dad, cause he was going in to pay his union, and got some new dice cause I really needed another d10 and d100 and a couple of other little things cause I've not bought myself anything in a long while and got a wedding present of six lovely gothic glasses which should have been £100 but with the final reduction sale at Collectibles I got them for £25 so I'm over the moon with them. Hopefully Jess and John will be as well.

Right going to go and muck on with something, dunno quite what yet but we'll see. Hope you're all doing well out there and update soon ya?

Teehee well this week has surprisingly picked itself up and hauled its way back to being something of an interst which was good for me bar the social scene is still a bit on a downer but hopefully that'll be sorted within the next couple of weeks cause Anime will start up again and I will start going back to Kendo - Ive been saying that for a while now and I really do need to go back.

Anyway in short terms I've been applying for jobs like nobodies business, a variety of different things that had me filling out forms, sending CVs and Cover Letters off, buying more stamps than I've ever bought in a long time and generally getting stuff sorted out. Had to go in on wednesday to find they were still processing my application but I believe everythings through now so it shouldn't be that bad. Just have to go in every two weeks and say 'nope nothings changed and I'm still applying for jobs' and they'll be happy with me. So we'll see what happens, I'll probably be lucky to get notified that I haven't got anything but you never know.

I've also managed to get a good old fashioned play on my new laptop and got to work on some projects that I've been meaning to - whilst still needing to work on FITS and ELI*May but I'll get there with them probably next week.

I went to roleplay on sunday and sorted out my character pretty quickly and I managed to get a crit in the 40K system, which is pretty tricky to do but I did it, and kill off one of those horrid monster things so I'm feeling quite good at the moment. Going to play D&D 3.5 on sunday so rolling up additional stuff for my Bard Trixie who will never shut up in the slightest, once I've finished updating here. Otherwise been chilling out, visitng gran and playing games so been quite good.

Literally as well which doesn't help matters but it may work out okay in the long run, dunno though.

Basically this week has been pretty much rubbish for me because for those of you who watch the news, Adam's closed half of it's stores and guess what? Mine was one of them. What's really made it annoying was the fact that we were given no warning and then had to box up the entire place as well which turned a really bad situation into utter crapdom cause everyones trying to brush it off as nothing in particular but then we're all in tears and it was just a nightmare. Plus it happened on Monday as well which is not the best thing in the world. So once we're finished I head over to the job center and get given a number to sign onto the dole which takes me five attempts to get through and due to the systems being down they have to send a form out to me. So I get that, fill it in along with the redunancy one as well from the administrators during the week and today go in for my advisor meeting to get signed onto the dole - sorry Job Seekers Allowance - and find out that every two weeks I have to go in with proof that i've applied for jobs and then sign something to get the money.

So to say I've pretty much been down in the dumps and a bit of a mopey cow the last week is true to the bone.

Then Gran gets herself in Hospital and me and Mam have to visit, which isn't to bad honestly but not the best situation as you can imagine.

On the plus side I have sent off one job application, Baka will know what that's for, and sent off Tammo to the Beeb so we'll see what happens with that.

Generally I've been mucking around online, sleeping in late and doing the odd bit and piece of work and other things but we'll see what happens over the next week. Going back to roleplay on sunday though which should be good.

Heh I didn't mean to leave so long between posts and stuff but life kinda got hetic and there was no real chance to just sit down and write for any length of time, hence this update being definately late on all accounts. Not that it really bothers of course, tis much more fun to just update when I can and play the 'lets remember what happened' situation.

Christmas was fun and nice and relaxed because Gran had disappeared off to Scotland for the week so we could just do things at our own pace and time. Did help bring my presents downstairs though but Mam needed the help and really I'm getting just a bit old to worry about that sort of stuff. Plus I didn't actually open them or rattle them cause I don't do that sort of thing. I got a selection of nice stuff, DVDs, game, clothes, body shop stuff and other odds and ends which was really handy as well as a new laptop from the sales which is pretty but needs an internet connection to really work properly so I'm currently waiting on Tiscali to send out a new modem for it cause our old one doesn't work with Vista. I've also got a Death Note Ryuk figure on the way but mum's waiting for the pre-order to come in from FP cause originally it was supposed to be out in Dec but never materilised and now we're looking at sometime over the next few weeks. Can't wait cause it'll look so cool. So the day was spent watching telly, eating sweets and dinner and drinking lots of cola and it was pretty much the same on boxing day as well but we were all allowed so it was fine.

New Year was fun as well because the day before I got to catch up with Sam and some of the others at the pub which was mad fun and definaetly lifted my spirits after events prior *see work section*. So we chatted on about all sorts and caught up in a variety of odd ways and it was just a good solid night out that we hadn't had in ages. So I choose to walk home, cause everyone else is, and Dad's now constantly going on at me for doing so because I was an idiot but it's just a sign that he cares for me. Bless him. Then on New Years Eve I went over to Kirsty's for drinks, really bad karaoke DVD's and Mario Kart on the Wii which was bonkers fun and well worth it. The interesting part of the night was when Bill was triyng to get me a Vodka and coke and William brought out a lump of ice instead of a couple of pieces. Considering the lump was bigger than the glass it made it more funny. So went to bed about 2amish and went home about 11 the next day. We had gran for new years day which was surprisingly quiet and she wasn't overly bad which was a good thing but it still felt as though the world was going to stop on occassions. So yeah we got that all sorted out.

Dad's brithday was fun on the second cause I woke up at the same time as him and then he asked mum to make him breakfast because he preferred her BLT sandwiches but I didn't take it to much to heart really. He liked the presents I got him bar unfortunately one of them I'm going to have to sell on casue they're away at the Isle of Man. So slightly annoying but can't be helped. Then I spent an hour or two trying to sort out the new DVD Freeserve Box Dad got and ended up having to call the helpline cause I couldn't figure it but things got working. Then I went to work and came back before getting sorted out and learning how to set the timer to record onto the HDD which was surprsingly simple but the instructions book could do with a much simplier way of saying things rather than repeating all the useless stuff and refering to things as 'stop mode'. So we then go out for a meal with the intention of going to pointeland but there was a powercut so we went to Spoons instead and had a nice meal with no big fuss. Then on the 3rd we go and see 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' which is watchable and slightly better than what I was expecting just not all together there and definately in need of some serious working out story and characterwise...though Keanu actually really worked well.

Work life has been pretty much hetic and downright annoying of late as well as highly distrubing. We've ranged from marking down sale items and being relatively busy to having virtually no customers at all and no delivery to booster up anything or give us anything to do. We're also in administration which is not a good thing in the slightest but we only got told cause they leaked it to the media. So at the moment we have no idea what's going on or when/if (though the former applies we think) anythings going to happen. The only definate thing is that the hours we work up until anything happens will be covered and paid for at the end of it. So that's something at the very least. I'm still getting plenty of overtime though, the next coming week I'm in six days out of seven so it's no so bad. So it's just a waiting game with that at the moment. Going to start applying for stuff though, cause it doesn't look good.

Social life has pretty much been none-existant but I'm planning to change that by going back to the anime society, kendo and swimming on a more regular basis so all should be good there. I've done bits and pieces of writing I'm glad to say though and scraped a bit of time on Gaia as well.

So lifes been full and rather hetic but hopefully it'll sort itself out and get into some form of normalish routine again soon.

19 December 2008 @ 06:03 pm
Well this is definately the routine at the moment but I don't mind to much, plus as well my lifes pretty samey at the moment with some good stuff chucked in for good measure as well. Work's been quite fun, if hetic and tiring but I can't really complain cause in comparison to primark it's nowt so I just trundle on and don't get bothered by anything. The Works night out was a good laugh, though the food portions could have been a little bigger but overall it wasn't bad stuff and we had a few dances and a laugh which it was all about. We also had a buffet for the last couple of days cause it's part of our celebration thing and we'll probably still be eating half the stuff come the end of next week but that's what a good buffett realyl should do and we got a fridge so it's all fine. Been in work from Monday through till Thursday which was interesting but I managed it without doing myself any major harm and mainly got annoyed cause the delivery didn't arrive till really late on the other day for no apparent reason which was a bit on the crazy side but meh. Still riding around on my bike as well but not complaining cause it's giving me exercise and warming me up for the whole shift - though I am having to take in body spray cause I don't smell that nice afterwards as it's possible to imagine.

Last sunday me and mum put the christmas decks up as it was our joint day off - work gave me the sunday off after the party - so the hosue looks all christmasy which is really good though the artifical tree is kinda lopsided but it wouldn't be an Elliot Crimbo Tree if it didn't at least look a bit on the odd side. Got my ordered book from the club as well, so once BR's finished - only another 100plus pages to go with that - then I'll start that and see where I end up. Course it depends on what I get for christmas as well cause there may be some new books but some I might save for when I'm travelling over 09. I've been out today getting secret santa stuff as well as ingridents for a Hogswatch Pie I'm going to be making - will let you know the results of that eventually - and otherwise mucking about on the internet and getting some serious work done on Project FITS and Eli*May. Still need a couple of things sorted but I will be sending it off to people so they can read and tell me what they think. Though a couple I need to ask first.

Found out that I passed my Masters Degree the other day as well, got it in the post but unfortunately I'll be in the US when the Graducation Ceremony is so they'll have to send me the stuff. I'm not that fussed about it really, I mean I'll miss getting the stupid photo's with my coursemates sure but I've been through the blooming thing once before and that was bad enough without a seven hour journey to get there. So I'll have to apologuise to peeps when I get the chance and hopefully I'll meet up with them at a later date. So for a treat my parents took me to Hexam to see 'It's a Wonderful Life' as they were having a special showing and I was in buckets of tears but if you're not doing so or wanting to do so - for all of you tough guys out there who don't cry at movies *rolls eyes* - then you're not human in the slightest.

Dad's out tonight so I'll be getting the last of my wrapping done and then it's five days in work before Christmas. Tis going to be interesting.

Anyway, in case I don't update until after it - Merry Christmas Everyone!

Well lets see, this week has been interesting with a couple of odds and ends which have made me smile and some which have not for various reasons but it's nowt to worry about.

I've been doing a load of overtime at work which has been fun if a little on the tiring side but I'm not really complaining and I've still got bruises from the bleeding snow the other week from where I fell over when it was all ice and no bloody gritters came out. So not that pleased at the council but there's not really a lot I can do considering I'm a cyclist and therefore not a priority at the moment *grumbles* But other than that works been okay with sales, interesting kids and finishing the delivery in two hours cause we've got a new sale starting on sat which is going to be interesting but on the plus side I'll be going out for the staff night party after that shift and I can get as drunk as I like which makes it all the better.

My social life has been dead but I'm not actually complaining becuase i've simply been too tired to really deal with anyone and everyone appears to be busy anyway so it's no biggy. Will have to try and organise a couple of the girls to come over for a bit of a party else I'll be delivering their pressies by hand. Have been working on my projects though, but just generally creating brainstorms of things I want to happen in them and my fanfics got sorted out a little as well. Done my cards today and sending them off after I eat the burgers Dad's just handed me as well as taking the dog for a walk as well.

Anyway gotta eat so catch ya all later peeps

Whoa, I swear this thing can't count cause I'm pretty sure it wasn't two weeks ago that I last updated but never mind.

I had an utterly fantastic time in Swansea, the play was totally awesom to behold and to know it was mine made it even better and everyone who went and saw it loved it. I've got flyers and things for people so if you want an autographed one let me know and hopefully I'll get a DVD of it, I did a video recording which was good but the angles are a little off I'm afraid but heh it's all there. Plus I got introduced to very important people and a load of my uni mates turned up - including my poetry lectuerer Nigel who was giving it total praise...which was a big surprise indeed - but unfortunately David couldn't make it but that's due to family problems *sends all her love and luck to him electronically* so yeah utterly fantastic and I can now get my own website to promote myself. Going to look into it and see what I can do.

The rest of the week was utterly mad with roleplay, anime, sci-fi, more role play, going over to peoples houses to watch crappy films, going to see a crappy film (Dark Knight which surprise surprise I hated and didn't get along with at all) and more role play before going out to Dead of Night and discovering that I was a closet goth without realising it in the slightest and having a really good kick ass time which was what I most definately wanted. Course there was one idiot trying to spoil everything for me but I've played that game before - Kal will know about it when I either see her or she reads this - and threw it straight back so all well there now. The bus journey back was a little on the tiring side but not as bad as I had imagined it to be which was good and it's been a good time.

Got a load of overtime for the next week, so that's going to take over my life for a while but I'm going to attempt to get some serious hours into my projects and get them sent off to the relevant people which hopes of going further with my career.

So going to muck about online for a few hours now and then go to bed before work tomorrow, hopefully the snow won't be to bad otherwise riding around is going to be interesting indeed.

Toodles peoples

Well last week was quiet again but I don't mind. It was a bit of a relief to be truthful because I didn't have to run around like a total idiot which is always a very good thing.

Work when I was in was good, I spent it doing various things including cutting out a load of stars by hand, sorting out stock and cleaning in the window but thankfully only having a minor argument with a manakin which involved trying to get a purse to stay in please so at least the thing was fully dressed - and I didn't get to many funny looks from anyone for it.

My social life was good with anime on monday as usual, where we watched a series of hilarious episodes which I hope we'll keep up tonight with, and seeing Circus of Horror's on Friday night which I naturally adored to death - literally almost lol - but the others who I was with - namely Kal, Mandy and two of Kal's friends from uni - enjoyed the second act more but methinks I need to find someone else whose really into the horror/macbre world to go along with next time. Or save myself some hassle and go by myself.

I also started some serious work on character profiles for the various projects, it just takes forever now which is a bit of a pain but it will get done. Otherwise I've just been chilling out, watching telly, playing online and playing FFIX. So alls well there then.

Oh and t-minus five days till the performance...eep.

Oh the worlds a good place right now! I've got the Camp America Program sorted and I know where I'm going and what I'll be doing (roughly anyway). I'm going to Camp Thunderbird which is in Apokoa which is 20 miles northeast of Orlando Florida and I'm going to be working with disabled people ages 4 to 80 from June 1st till August 10th. So I've got stuff to sort out like payments, applications and other stuff as well as getting overtime done to cover my costs out there but it's sure going to be one hell of an experience. True I've been to Orlando before but on the plus side I know what I want to go visit and could probably do it all in a couple of days or so and then head up and into different parts so it's all exciting and is going to be something increbily amazing methinks. Course I would be the only person in the world to end up going to a place like Thunderbird - Dad is not going to stop teasing me about that forever - and in Florida as well but hell it'll be a damn fine and very fun experience I can imagine.

So this week has been moderately quiet and well maintained cause I wanted it to be after the last few ones. I've basically been to work, faffed on with a couple of things and kept myself to myself with Dad griping about stuff for no apparent reason but meh it happens.

The Fun things this week were seeing Queen on Tuesday night with my mum after twenty-two years of waiting. Oh my god the concert was amazing and blew the socks off everything I have ever seen before in the Metro Radio Arena, the whole place was alive with an atmosphere I have never experienced before, there was no trouble, there was singing and dancing and just everything appeared to fall happily into place. The original guitarist and drummer were outstanding and could outplay any of todays greats, at one point the drummer was playing a tune on an electric cello with the guy playing on it and then had his drums set up around him whilst playing them. Unbelievable night and one I will not forget in a hurry. If you get a chance to see the Cosmos Rocks Tour go and do it.

On one night (I think it was either Monday or Wednesday) I decided to sit and play FFIX once agian and ended up playing it for seven hours straight, defeated all of the bosses up to that point but didn't quite win the Festival of the Hunt but I'm not complaining cause by that point I was pretty much wrecked (and I want to go and play it now but really shouldn't cause I've got a full day at work tomorrow)

Then on Friday I went to Kendo and had a really good time there as well, chatted onto people and got some good Kei-Hon pratice in but then fluffed up on the shia but it wasn't to bad.

Parent's are currently out visiting friends so I've got the internet to myself for a bit which is great.

Heh didn't realise how long it had been since I properly updated, good thing I've actually started keeping a diary for this but it'll take forever to actually write an update from it - I should scan the pages but it'll be a faf on. So I'm just doing a quick update now before I go to work cause it's been an eventful month once again and I'm still lost as to where it's all gone.

Work's been good, with escaping kids, cute kids, brats who I wanted to hurl out of the shop but wasn't allowed to, stock take, cleaning up, meeting various peeps and having a laugh with the girls. I also spent one of my last shifts purely in the stock room, listening to Metro Radio and putting stock away. So alls fun.

The last month of uni for me transpired into a whirlwind effect where I had to rewrite my dissertation over a two day period along with the reflective essay which was a bit of a nightmare but it got done, with the location changing completely and the character list getting expansive but purely cause more minor characters were needed for an hour long piece. So I get down to swansea and have to get it bound but luckily the uni has it's own service which was done within 24 hours which was great. Got it handed in on Tuesday the 14th of October and stopped being a uni student. Now I've got to wait for the results which are apparently going to be recieved sometime in November or January. Oh the joys.

Camp America appears to be going to plan, finally got the second reference and the activity photo's organised properly and accepted and sent back the CBR check that I had to go through cause on the form it asks if I had lived at any other addresses in the last few years so I put down my uni one when I wasn't supposed to *shrugs* so just waiting for that to clear - payments been made for that and the second one to the company - so now to keep on checking until I get the offer. ^_^

Social life has been hetic, I've gotten invovled with the Newcastle Anime Society which is great fun and I've been to a social outing with them last night which was great fun and only let down by the fact I got a stinking headache at the very end which pratically wiped me out. My time down in Swansea for the handin was utterly fantastic with more roleplaying than I could shake a stick out, a couple of house parties, scaring my mates cause my hair's been cut - back to shoulder lenght, can't wait to shock a few others who I haven't seen yet - and just having a wild time. The only downside was that I caught Largenistist from the experience so I wasn't very happy at all but you know how it goes.

I've also been doing research for various projects and hope to have them underway pretty soon and some of my older ones (RN and FITS) have come back to the forefront of my mind so keep your eyes peeled (and yes Baka you will get them cause I know you're a fan) for more information.

Well that was relatively easy, now to chill out, update my diary and go to work for today.

Toodles peeps.

Heh things have been quiet this week but after everything that went on last week I'm not surprised. I went to Kendo on Friday and had such a fantastic time with it, so glad to have gone back and can't wait to go tonight. There's a new lass there by the name of Debra and we hit it off immediately and hopefully some of the newer girls - if they come back - are starting up an anime/manga society so I'll keep my eyes and ears open for that. It was great catching up with the lads as well and giving Kendo a go for the first time in ages, so much more fun when you're not stressed up to high hell over everything.

Saturday morning Dad wakes me up at 6:30am cause Valentino Rossi is just about to win the 08 championship and I was very happy to sit and watch the last couple of laps. Then went back to bed cause I had to get some sleep in before the photographer arrived from the News Post Leader. so go through that and give a bit of info, get told that a guy will be calling me up on monday, get changed into work stuff, go to work which was pratically as dead as could be and I spent most of the day sorting out the stockroom and tagging things which was quite fun. Get home, have a hours kip, get washed and dressed and go out to a Whities Do for Sarah and John's engagement at long last and had a good time there which was good.

Sunday I'm up dead early cause I've got to go to work and it was as dead as a doornail in the literal sense of the word. We only took a couple hundred which wasn't the best day but can't complain as in comparison to last week it was nice to have it so quiet. Came back home and I think I just generally chilled out for the rest of the day. Can't quite recall for some odd reason.

The rest of the week has been fairly quiet, I've been getting uni stuff finished off, working on fanfictions, planning to start work on a couple of project ideas, getting calls from the NPL for the interview over the phone, playing FFVII till I get munched (and beating the living daylights out of two Master Tonberries which I was really impressed with), going shopping and playing about on the internet. Out at Kendo tonight, then work for the next couple of days so it should pick up again for me.

Oh and watched all of Hellsing last night, just cause I felt like it and it's fun...though the plot does kinda leave you with that 'eh?' feeling.

Anyway toodles folks

26 September 2008 @ 12:07 am
wow I didn't realise a month had passed since I had last updated...thought it was only a couple of weeks. Oh well, life's been kinda interesting in some respects and dull in others of late so it's not a big surprise really.

I've been working on my uni stuff, dissertations pratically finished now, just got a couple of faffy things to do there and then it's all done and the reflective essay as well but we'll see what'll happen anyway with that. When it comes to printing off two lots of 64 pages the printers really going to love me and I hope the ink cartiages don't run out or else that'll be really sucky but I think we're all right which is a good thing.

Finally I've gotten a job as well, working in Adam's the kids clothes store and the lasses there are really canny and I'm already having fun within the first week of everything starting up. I got two days of training whilst my parents were away in Scotland - more on that in a bit - and then launched into my weekend routine of saturday 12-4 and sunday 10:45-4:15. I was on an early shift on the saturday, doing 9-1 and getting the basic gist of things when the chip and pin machine decided to stop working completely at 12:50 so I was glad to leave that one alone. Next day I came in with Ange and the machine still wasn't working in the slightest so since we were the only two in - bar Victoria Sarah's older sister for about half-an-hour or so - we decided to ask customers to fetch the money as we got a replacement chip and pin machine delivered about 11 and were told that the engineer was coming at twelve to fix it. He eventually turned up at three o'clock having driven from manchester and had only recieved the job at twelve. So he spent the rest of the shift trying to fix the machine to no success what so ever and thus it ended up with me and Ange being late closing up shop and getting out of the place. The security guards were not best pleased with us but at least they know me so my bike will be perfectly safe and sound cause I ride that everywhere as much as possible. Then on wednesday just gone, I got some overtime allocated and met the district commisioner as well as playing in the stockroom for the latter part of my shift which was quite fun. In on sat, sun and mon next so I'm going to be all over the place methinks.

My parents were supposed to go on holiday for two weeks to Cuba but considering the hurrican hit the day before they were due to leave the flight was cancelled and then the news reported that sixty had died there so they cancelled that and chose to go to Scotland instead for four days. This was fine with me because it meant I didn't have to worry about them being there but it did mean I lost a weeks worth of me time but I can't complain in the slightest. I still got general stuff done and when they did go away I began sorting out things that needed sorting out - still need to get a second camp america reference, going to get stuff off to peeps soon about that - as well as successfully cooking a vegitble stew/soup/thing with dumplings that was nice and tasty. Got out to the Brockwell as well for a night out with the usual gang and had a good time, just the others have never really seen me in that rather happy drunk state I get into (and trust me it was extremely mild) so it was highly amusing for them in a strange sort of way.

Been playing on FFVII and writing fanfictions, plus pondering starting some work on various projects so that I can send them off to become more of an established writer with a bit of luck. I'm filling up one of my ideas books which I'm happy about - and don't want anymore notebooks cause I've got enough of the bleeding things to be going through at the moment. Been to Larp as well which is getting really fun cause I'm getting to know the others and have a good laugh with them which is great. Unfortunately had to give up the RPG group again cause I work on sundays but I may be able to blag a place on the monday night session which will be good. Going back to Kendo tomorrow - expecting to get completely beaten up for not going back sooner but my excuse is needing a job to pay for getting back - so looking forward to that.

I should be getting paid soon as well which is a good thing, planning on getting the next Death Note DVD which is out on Oct 6th (for £15 again from the Manga site which i'm so happy about) and definately getting my hair cut to shoulder lenght cause I'm sick of getting mistaken for an eighteen year old when I'm not. Course I'm going to have to invest in some hairbands but meh I don't mind.

Anyway, there's the update and I'm off to sort things out now ^_^

27 August 2008 @ 11:19 am
Whoa, this week feel completely surreal but oh so good. I'm still trying to pinch myself into believing everything.

The week on my own proved to be quite fun as I managed to get hold of Kal-chan and we spent the night with a lot of very nice and hot boys whilst drinking cider and having a good old laugh about everything. Then I got Kel and Mandy over for some home made slumpie (proving that I can cook without killing people) and a good old fashioned chat and catch up which he hadn't had since I got back. I also went out with gran to sizzilers twice, it was supposed to be once but with a mix up on times and places for being picked up it ended up being twice which was a tad annoying but unable to be helped. Then I finally got the the tyneside film theatre to see Hellboy II with Kel, Manda and Nicky which was a fantastic film - so easy to tell that Del Toro had a bigger budget though - so I've got Dad no longer whinging at me about that which is a good thing. Parents came back and told me of their adventures in London, I got some stuff from them as well which was pretty cool and apparently there was a dress they were going to get me but I would have had to been there due to the fact that they weren't sure if it would fit. So next time I go to London I'm definately paying a visit to Camden Market - even though I would anyway but that's besides the point.

So the weekend was moderately quiet in comparison, but I kinda needed it to be so I could sort everything out for the interview for Camp America which I also applied for during the week my parents were away. On the friday I receive an e-mail from David, asking me to send my contact details to the Flullen Theatre Company cause I've got a prospect of a contract. After three failed attempts, I go onto the website and send the e-mail from there and all's good. Sunday rolls around and I receieve an e-mail back from them...

...my play Tammo is going to be performed by the group on two seperate evenings in Swansea and they're sending me a contract for this to happen! I'm still reeling in shock from this fact and it's been several days since. I'm a playwrite! I probably won't believe it until the production goes ahead and I see it in full but it's happened.

So yeah, that was kinda exiciting to say the least and hopefully it'll lead onto more work in the future - if it does I'll be really happy and it's a good starting point for my portfolio. We then went to Leadgate to find the place of the interview for Camp America with surprisingly little hassle, then went up to Stanley for the clearance bargins and Dad pointed out a couple of things that I could have cause he's not proud of me in anyway way about the play wot I writ (*rolls eyes* gotta love my Dad haven't you? lol) and then we go to Pizza Hut for tea.

Monday comes and me and Mam are taking Gran out to the cinema cause she wants to see Mamma Mia. Of course she decides to be in one of her annoyingly awakade moods and divvy about like a good one but thankfully I steal away for a little while into the fantasy/sci-fi/manga section of Boarders and enjoy looking around and buying some books. We then go and see the film and Gran inisits on getting a pepsi which she doesn't drink but I enjoyed the film for the third time. Then it's home for Tea and Dad's trying to play as much avoidence as possible, Mum's trying not to look harrassed and I'm sitting there waiting for it all to be over. But we survived once again which was a good thing. Whilst we're out, Dad calls and leaves me an answerphone message to say I've got a job interview with Adams and I need to call them back.

So Tuesday morning I'm up really early, call Adams to arrange an interview, get sorted out and go with Dad to Leadgate for the Camp America interview. We get there a bit early so I get a chance to calm down in the car and then go through the interview with Paul and I'm onto the next phase which basically requires more questions to be answered, the second reference to be sent off once I get it, a second payment to cover admin fees and the cost of the CBR check - cause the last one I had done was over three years ago and no longer counts *grumble grumble* - and then playing the waiting game to hopefully get an offer of a place. But as the guy said he's definately going to recommend me and I've got enough experience and drive so it shouldn't be to bad. Me and Dad then end up in Costco's for dinner, have a mooch around, end up back home and go through the usual routines around there.

Today I was up early once again for the job interview which went pretty okay but I've got to wait two weeks to find out if I've got a job or not. So fingers crossed for that one and I still can't quite believe that it's only wednesday. But should be good.

Right, there''s the update, so I think I'm going to go take a nap and then spend the rest of the day taking it easy.
